PDF Manager ("we", "our", or "the app") is an Android application published on Google Play under the package name com.pdfmergerapp. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

PDF Manager is designed with an offline-first approach. The core PDF tools (merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, protect, scan, image-to-PDF) process files entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your PDF files on any server.

• No account required. We do not collect names, emails, or phone numbers.
• Crash reports & analytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous crash logs and usage statistics (e.g., which features are popular). These do not contain personal documents.
• Advertising: We use Google AdMob to serve ads in the free tier. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
• In-App Purchases: Subscription and purchase data is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not process or store payment information.

2. AI Assistant (Pro Feature)

The AI PDF Assistant processes documents on-device using a locally downloaded language model. Your PDF content is never sent to external servers for AI processing.

3. Permissions

• Camera: Used only for the document scanner feature.
• Storage: Used to read and write PDF files you select.
• Internet: Required for ads, analytics, in-app purchases, and downloading the AI model.

4. Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — advertising
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — usage analytics and crash reporting
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchases

5. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since we do not collect personal data or store your files, there is no user data to delete. Anonymous analytics are retained according to Firebase's default retention policies.

7. GDPR & Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we do not collect identifiable personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
